Today brings what it must

The dawn brings a clear sky,

Light shining through the darkness,

Promises of a bright and beautiful day.

A beautiful sunny day with laughter and happiness,

Filling our life with much light and love.

And then without warning, the light is blocked by dark clouds filling the skies and blocking the sun.

Much like the dark moments in our life,

When the light is blocked and there is much suffering in our life.

When there does not seem to be any light to guide us through.

We wait patiently knowing that the storm will pass,

That the light will shine again bringing in the blue skies and sunny days.

And then it happens, the clouds break, and one golden ray of sunshine comes through,

With the promise of bright and sunny days again.

And suddenly we are basked in a beautiful day where all of life comes alive.

We know that the darkness will not last forever; 

We know with certainty that the light will come back.

And so it is in our life,

The light shines, then there is a period of darkness, after which the light shines again.

One cannot survive without the other, they are two sides of the same coin.
