When all is lost

Once life was full -full of love, happiness, prosperity, joy, whatever one could wish for.

But as there is beginning and end, so also there is full and empty.

And as with the natural course of things, what was once full must be empty for us to know what the other is and for it to start to fill up again.

And so everything that was once in plenty ends – it may be a relationship that ends, maybe a job lost, a way of life ended or whatever you had has been dwindled away and nothing remains.  You feel you are absolutely alone with no one and nothing to comfort you.

When this happens, you feel the anguish, the pain of loss, the emptiness, the sorrow, the betrayal; so many emotions coursing through your veins.  And all you want is to feel love, happiness, joy, prosperity again.  How long do you wait?  How long can you hold on till it starts getting better again?  Is there a preset timeframe you have to undergo before you start getting better again?

The answers to all these questions float in the wind, waiting for us to open our eyes and our hearts to be able to see through the pain, and to be able to see the other side.

What we see, may not be what we thought we would see, for it is not a reflection of the past that we see, but what the future holds for us.  We must be bold to know that there is love beyond the pain, and be courageous to take the first step forward towards that future.

Whatever the cause, just remember that when all is lost, that is when you find yourself and the path leading forward to your next experience filled with love.  Every story has a beginning, middle and end; and after the end comes a new beginning.

In Love and Light

  1. Very well written post! It's beautiful and touching...Like every season comes to an end, followed by another; like the weather is never constant, so is everything else in life. Nothing is permanent except change. Trying and difficult times in life are all a part of a creative design which cannot be fathomed in the beginning. Cetain things come to an end, so better things can take that place. During the waiting period for good things to happen, there is a lot of unseen work going on in our life energised by our belief, faith and hope, while we do whatever it is to be done. It paves way to greater things and happiness.

  2. The waiting period is the hardest, because that is when all the chaos happens and it becomes very trying.
