How do you look at defeat?
Do you take it as a failure and give up or a temporary set back where you take time to recuperate and come back fighting?
We cannot succeed in everything we do, there will be times in our lives when we face defeat in something. It is part of our life, it is how we react and come out of it that matters more than the actual event that defeated us.
If we say that we are giving up, that it is too difficult for us to try again, then we are accepting failure which is an end in itself. We are accepting that we are not capable of something and this may be even before we have started on something. It may be that when we hit the first stumbling block, we think that it's too much for us to handle. The other extreme is that we keep trying again and again and still find that we do not succeed. In this case are we being too stubborn and are not allowing ourselves to see that this may not be the path for us?
If we can keep ourselves open to looking at things in a different light, from a different perspective, we can then find a way out of the defeat by shifting our thought process to see things differently and we will be able to come back fighting to make a success or change direction so that we can go on the right path to success.
I believe the key is in being open to accepting that what we see as the right path may not necessarily be true. The destination may be the same, but we may have to change directions to get there. And by doing this we are not accepting defeat as a failure, but as a temporary set back from where we can keep going till we reach our final destination.
For if we never try, we will never know where we can reach.
Have a blessed day
In Love and Light
